Basic instructions:
How is the game played?
The game is a trail that will lead you through several locations and asks you questions along the way. You'll have a website opened on your phone, that will guide you through the questions and provide you with relevant information.
When can I play?
Any day, any time.
There are some bonus questions that can be completed only if you play during working hours, but they are not necessary to finish the game.
Who can play?
Expats on their own, or in teams (we recommend 5 players in one team max). Your Czech friends can join you, but the game is designed primarily for expats.
TRAIL: across the city centre, 3.8km
TIME REQUIRED: 2 to 4 hours, but you can stop anytime, or finish another day
PRICE: The game is for free.
Useful info
What will I need:
- a fully charged phone
- mobile data in your phone
- a map application in your phone (Google Maps or Mapy.cz)
- comfy shoes, some water
The game system will lead you on a trail with tasks. You score points for every task you complete. You can use hints if you need help. Some questions will be hard - do use your hints, even if they'll cost you points. It's better than guessing - wrong answers will cost you more. Googling is encouraged in this game!
Can I take my children?
The game is designed for adults, but kids can help with some questions and enjoy the walk with you. The trail is accessible with a stroller.
Will I win anything?
Yes! A precise score on how well you know your new home. You can also pick up a badge in the Brno Expat Centre's office.
How to start the game
2 STEPS
1) The trail is starting on Špilberk Hill. Walk to the starting point here.
2) Only once you're there, click the button below to enter the game system. You'll register yourself/your team and start playing.
The game is for free, but you can still give something back
You can play the game for free as it was funded by the City of Brno, through the Brno Expat Centre.
